Forgiveness and Inner Healing

Unresolved resentment burdens the mind. Forgiveness releases tension and restores clarity.

In Ephesians 4:31โ€“32, believers are urged to put away bitterness and forgive one another. Forgiveness reflects mercy received from God.

Forgiveness does not deny harm. It refuses to hold onto resentment.

To begin inner healing:

1. Acknowledge the Wound
Name the hurt honestly. Avoid minimizing it.

2. Choose to Forgive
Forgiveness is a decision before it becomes a feeling.

3. Pray for Strength
Ask God for the grace to release resentment.

4. Set Healthy Boundaries
Forgiveness does not remove prudence.

5. Seek the Sacrament of Reconciliation
Confession supports healing and clarity.

In Matthew 6:14โ€“15, Jesus links forgiveness with mercy received. Letting go frees the heart.

Inner healing develops over time. Repeated acts of forgiveness reduce bitterness and restore peace.

Forgiveness lowers stress and improves emotional balance.

Healing often requires patience and repetition.

  • Identify one unresolved resentment.
  • Pray for the person involved.
  • Ask God for strength to release anger.
Tomorrow, we will reflect on building focus in a distracted world.
